A long-established building contractor that undertakes new build and refurbishment projects predominantly within the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team.

The Role

The Site Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. The scheme involves both refurbishment works and a new extension within a live retail environment, requiring careful coordination and planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site activities, including subcontractors and trades
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Coordinate works within a live retail environment to minimise disruption
  • Monitor programme, progress, and quality of works
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct site meetings, reporting, and regular inspections
  • Oversee site logistics and sequencing of works

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on retail or commercial projects up to 5m
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and site management
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
