A growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent Fire Risk Assessor to work across residential, commercial and mixed-use portfolios. The successful Fire Risk Assessor will join a respected consultancy delivering fire risk assessments, compartmentation surveys and building safety advice to housing providers, developers and managing agents. This Fire Risk Assessor role offers strong career progression and varied project exposure.

Role

The appointed Fire Risk Assessor will carry out Type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments across a range of occupied buildings, including high-rise residential developments.

Responsibilities

  • Producing detailed Fire Risk Assessment reports
  • Identifying fire safety defects and compliance issues
  • Providing practical fire safety recommendations
  • Carrying out compartmentation inspections
  • Supporting Building Safety Act compliance matters
  • Liaising with clients and contractors regarding remedial actions
  • Supporting junior surveyors where required

Qualifications

The successful Fire Risk Assessor should ideally have:

  • Experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments independently
  • Strong understanding of current fire legislation and guidance
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial buildings
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Membership with IFSM, IFE or similar desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
