We are a well established structural design consultancy seeking a structural engineer with a minimum of 2 years design experience to join our team. The Director is FIStructE and FICE qualified. The offices are close to Rochford station; a car driver is preferable for attending site visits. Our practice is busy with work and needs more people to cope with projects ranging from a few hundred pounds up to 10m, including bespoke houses, new build blocks of flats, extensions, conversions, industrial sheds, schools, LA work, surveys, inspections and defect analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design structural projects in all main materials.
- Prepare drawings using AutoCAD.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues.
- Attend site visits as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years design experience.
- Chartered Engineer preference; candidates nearing Chartered status will be considered.
- Must be able to design in all main materials.
- Good communication skills.
- Preference for local candidates.
