Essex County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a specialist role supporting children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they are safeguarded and receive the right level of support to achieve positive outcomes.

You will work within a multi-agency framework, delivering high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory interventions across the child journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
  • Complete and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children plans
  • Work closely with families, carers, schools, and health professionals
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes where required
  • Promote strengths-based and child-centred practice
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings
