A leading provider of temporary site services within the construction industry, delivering temporary electrical installations, lighting, power distribution, maintenance, and associated site support services across a variety of construction projects throughout the UK.
The Electrical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple electrical and temporary site service projects from pre‑construction through to completion. The successful candidate will manage operational delivery, coordinate teams and subcontractors, maintain compliance with health & safety regulations, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple electrical and temporary site service contracts simultaneously
- Oversee project delivery from planning through completion
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Coordinate site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Monitor project performance, progress, and profitability
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Prepare project reports, risk assessments, and documentation
- Manage variations, quotations, and contractual matters
- Support business development and identify opportunities for contract growth
- Ensure quality standards and client expectations are consistently achieved
- Resolve operational and contractual issues effectively
- Oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and temporary power solutions on construction sites
- Previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within construction, electrical, or temporary site services
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction site operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and budgeting experience
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred
- SMSTS certification preferred
- CSCS card
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
- Relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or 18th Edition advantageous
