The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Landscape Architects, Arboriculturalists, and Ecologists.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake ecological surveys, including habitat and protected species surveys, in line with industry standards.
- Produce detailed ecological reports, such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs).
- Provide professional ecological advice to clients, ensuring compliance with current legislation and planning policy.
- Support the development and implementation of mitigation and biodiversity enhancement measures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
- Keep up to date with ecological legislation, best practices, and industry developments.
- Mentor and support junior team members as part of their professional development.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related subject.
- Previous experience within ecological consultancy or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
- Proven experience carrying out ecological surveys and preparing technical reports.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIEEM, would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
