An established precision engineering business is seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their growing team at their facility based in a rural location near Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking to work with advanced machinery and modern programming tools in a supportive environment.

The Role:

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components to tight tolerances. You will work across a range of 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming using Fusion 360
  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls
  • Working on 3, 4, and 5-axis machinery
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring all work meets ISO9001 quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller
  • Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls
  • Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to work to ISO9001 standards
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential due to location)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
