Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Cable Assembler on behalf of our client based within a manufacturing environment. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering full on-the-job training and the chance to join a busy production team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Following written work orders and detailed work instructions
- Measuring, cutting, stripping, wrapping and soldering cables
- Using a variety of hand tools safely and effectively
- Performing electrical insulation and continuity testing
- Carrying out visual inspections for cuts, abrasions, dents, scratches, cleanliness and surface finish
- Working to daily production demands as set by the department supervisor
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and housekeeping within the work area
- Writing concessions and marking up work orders when required
- Following all health & safety procedures including the use of PPE such as gloves, respirators, suits, safety footwear and local extraction systems
- Assisting across multiple stages of the assembly process as required
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience desirable
- Good level of physical fitness with the ability to carry out some heavy lifting
- Good eyesight and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures accurately
- Willingness to learn multiple production stages
- Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to changing workloads
- Understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures advantageous

Day Shift, 38 hours per week
Salary
£12.71 per hour
