A genuinely exciting Trainee Area Sales Manager position with a leading supplier of stairlifts, platform lifts, ceiling hoists and mobility aids. We are looking for a sales professional that we can train and develop within the company. Ideal candidates may have existing sales experience or have worked as a Service or Install Engineer looking to step into sales.

Location

Candidates must live in the Surrey, West Sussex, Berkshire, Slough, Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire area and will cover this region as a territory. You will visit the office one day a week; the other four days will be spent on the road conducting appointments.

Salary & Benefits

Circa £30k base salary with an additional £10k-£15k commission, fully uncapped. Includes car or car allowance, 20 days annual leave and company pension. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Sell stairlifts, platform lifts, floor lifts, ceiling hoists and door automation solutions to care homes and consumers.
  • Shadow an experienced Sales Surveyor for the first three months to learn about products, conduct surveys and gain orders.
  • Conduct appointments with customers at their homes, perform site surveys, offer the best solutions and provide detailed quotations to win business.
  • Perform 4 to 6 appointments a day and visit the office once a week.

Qualifications

  • Existing face‑to‑face sales experience or a background as an engineer who has conducted surveys.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients face‑to‑face.
