We are working with a well‑established and growing engineering manufacturing business seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a customer‑facing role within a technical environment, where you will play a key part in managing client relationships, coordinating orders, and driving account growth.
The Role
- You will take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring a high level of service throughout the full order lifecycle.
- Managing day‑to‑day communication with customers and acting as their internal representative.
- Coordinating orders from placement through to delivery, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
- Monitoring schedules, resolving issues, and ensuring on‑time delivery.
- Supporting commercial activities including quotations, cost tracking, and margin awareness.
- Preparing and presenting customer performance data and KPIs.
- Building strong, long‑term relationships to support account growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating cross‑functionally to support new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Experience in account management or customer‑facing roles within manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of revenue and margin.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and handling complex order processes.
- Ideally some exposure to electronics, electro‑mechanical, or technical products.
