Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

Salary: £26,280.80 - £27,864.20 per annum pro rata

Hours per week: 21 hours

Role Overview:

We are currently looking to recruit an Employment Advisor to join our Employment team. You will be working on the Connect to Work programme supporting people back into the workplace.

About You:

We are looking for extraordinary talent with skills including organisation, self-motivation, and determination to enable people to succeed. Your role will be to deliver support and targeted interventions to a range of disadvantaged jobseekers across the Barrow in Furness, Kendal, and South Lakes area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide job coaching based in Barrow and surrounding area as part of the Connect to Work programme
  • Support learners with task completion, observations, creating prompts, checklists, job analysis, setting achievable targets, supporting communication skills, interview skills and travel training where appropriate
  • Support learners to progress with their independence and progress into paid work
  • Support people in paid work roles who require reasonable adjustments
  • Update and maintain accurate learner records/support notes required by our delivery partner
  • Undertake reviews, progression reports and assessments
  • Liaise with additional support networks such as CtW partners, careers advisors, adult social workers, parents/guardians and families where appropriate

Additional Duties:

As part of your role you will support the team to maintain support notes and records, track progress, complete assessments, set objectives and record outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (paid for by Right2work, T&C apply). Required skills include organisation, self-motivation, determination and the ability to work independently.
