Based in Peterborough, you will be joining the UK’s leading water/ clean water equipment and processing manufacturing business, who now, due to continued growth, are looking for an Electrical Technician to join their engineering team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Installation of electrical systems
- Working with single‑phase, three‑phase, low‑voltage and extra‑low voltage electrical circuits
- Preparation and termination of electrical circuits
- Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues
- Testing electrical systems incorporating PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and relays
- Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically
This is just a summed‑up list, and other duties will be required.
Skills & Experience required
- City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent (mandatory)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be highly beneficial.
- Experience in industrial electrical works
- Experience wiring and fault‑finding PLC controlled equipment
- Ability to work alone or within a team environment.
