We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Installation Engineer to join a growing engineering team, delivering high-quality electrical installations across a range of projects throughout the UK. This is a hands-on position offering varied and technically interesting work in unique environments. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working on-site, solving problems, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of electrical control panels and cable management systems
- Running, glanding, and terminating power, control, and data cabling
- Working from electrical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation
- Assisting with fault-finding and commissioning activities where required
- Collaborating with engineers, internal teams, and on-site trades
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in electrical installation and cable termination
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and work away during the week
Desirable Skills & Experience
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience with control systems or automation
- IPAF, PASMA, or ECS card
- Experience working in specialist or technically demanding environments
Travel & Working Away
This role involves regular travel across the UK. You will typically work away during the week and return home towards the end of the week. All accommodation and expenses are fully covered.
