We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing business on a contract basis. This is an urgent hire, and our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Producing electrical drawings using EPLAN
  • Creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Excel
  • Adding required electrical components to machinery designs
  • Supporting the quotation and sign-off process for orders
  • Liaising closely with the shop floor and wider engineering teams
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant safety and industry standards
  • Supporting risk assessments and maintaining electrical safety compliance

Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Minimum 2 years experience within electrical design
  • Strong working knowledge of EPLAN
  • Ability to produce accurate electrical drawings independently
  • Experience creating BOMs in Excel
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with shop floor teams
  • Understanding of Risk Assessments, Electrical Safety, EN 60204, ISO 13849
