Our client has been a staple within the area for over 40 years designing and manufacturing bespoke automation solutions across numerous industries on a global scale. With a single site producing approximately £10 million turnover, this privately owned business is well established in their market. With an engineer heavy environment, this forward-thinking company offers exciting technical solutions which look at improving manufacturing efficiencies, reducing labour costs and supporting new and innovative technology.

The Role

We are seeking a progression driven Electrical Design Engineer, who is looking for an opportunity that will offer a natural progression into leadership. The Electrical Design Engineer will work collaboratively with mechanical design, controls, and commissioning to provide all electrical design work via e-Plan. The Electrical Design Engineer will:

  • Design electrical wiring diagrams and single-line diagrams for bespoke machinery.
  • Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Excel spreadsheets for handover to software and product engineering teams.
  • Support the electrical build and wiring of machinery, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Calculate appropriate breaker sizes and electrical load requirements for low-power control systems.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Electrical Design Engineer role you will need:

  • Experience of electrical design on any platform
  • Experience of electrical wiring for complex machinery
  • Desire to progress within your electrical design career
  • Strong communication skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach
