Key responsibilities
- Undertaking a variety of habitat and protected species surveys
- Producing high-quality ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments
- Supporting project management and coordinating survey programmes
- Advising clients on ecological constraints, mitigation, and enhancement opportunities
- Contributing to biodiversity net gain strategies and habitat design
- Mentoring junior team members where appropriate
Qualifications
- A degree in Ecology or a related discipline
- Proven experience in ecological consultancy or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
- Experience with protected species surveys (one or more licences desirable)
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. working towards or holding CIEEM membership)
- A full UK driving licence
