The Opportunity

Our client, a well‑established, family‑run residential care provider in the Eccles area, is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their friendly and dedicated day team. The home provides high‑quality residential and dementia care for 19 residents in a warm, homely setting, supporting long‑term residents alongside short‑term convalescence and respite stays. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering person‑centred care and supporting residents to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities
  • Assist with medication administration where required
  • Promote residents dignity, independence, and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Support and guide junior care staff during day shifts
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Previous experience within a residential or dementia care setting
  • Experience working in a senior care or healthcare assistant role advantageous
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Genuine passion for supporting older people
