We're working alongside a well-respected Tier Two main contractor based in Hampshire that continues to grow steadily across the south coast. With a strong pipeline of work from Southampton through to West Sussex, they're now looking to bring an experienced Site Manager into the team to support delivery on a flagship £15 million new-build project. This is a great opportunity to join a contractor known for running organised sites, investing in its people, and offering clear, realistic career progression. They value good leadership on site and give their managers the autonomy and support needed to do the job properly.
The Role
As Site Manager, you'll take day-to-day responsibility for site operations on a high-profile new-build scheme. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you'll be focused predominantly on internal packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard. This role would suit someone who enjoys being visible on site, takes pride in quality finishes, and values good relationships with subcontractors and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site activities and coordinate subcontractors
- Maintain high health & safety standards across site
- Monitor progress against programme and assist with short-term planning
- Ensure quality standards are met across all internal works
- Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and consultants
- Resolve site issues proactively and professionally
- Support and contribute to a positive, well-run site environment
