In this hands-on private client role you will manage an excellent portfolio at a well-established modern practice, working with Partners to deliver high-quality personal tax advice. You will be part of a tight-knit team of six and focus on personal tax, IHT, trusts and estates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-quality private client portfolio covering personal tax, IHT, trusts and estates.
  • Prepare and review self-assessment returns, CGT calculations, P11Ds, trust & estate returns, and IHT forms.
  • Support Partners with MTD implementation and modernise tax processes.
  • Assist with advisory work including income extraction, IHT planning, trust structuring and broader wealth/succession matters.
  • Act as liaison point between clients, HMRC, solicitors and internal teams.
  • Spot planning opportunities and raise advisory points where appropriate.
  • Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to workflow management.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Personal Tax Senior, Assistant Manager or Manager in a practice environment.
  • Qualifications: ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or strong QBE experience.
  • Solid grounding in personal tax, IHT, trusts and estates.
  • Confidence managing a portfolio and working directly with private clients and HNWIs.
  • Proactive approach to digital change and MTD developments.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and client-care skills.
