An Electronics and Firmware Engineer is required for a busy and expanding engineering company based in the Southampton area. Working as part of the Product Development Team, you will be responsible for the development of standard products and bespoke applications for products based around optical systems. This will cover the whole design life-cycle of control electronics and firmware along with being involved in product delivery activities to meet customer orders.
Likely Degree qualified, you will be proficient in C and/or C++ with experience developing embedded systems and writing firmware for microcontrollers (e.g. PICs, AVR, STM32). You will be experienced in electronics design in digital and microprocessor systems. Any experience of low noise analogue electronics design would be beneficial.
Strong attention to detail is essential with an ability to follow processes and demonstrate initiative to seek workflow efficiencies. You will be able to both work independently and along with a team.
