Maintenance Electrician - Permanent Position - Livingston
First Achieve's Engineering Department is actively recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our prestigious client in Livingston on a permanent basis.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard. You will respond promptly to plant breakdowns and use your fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills to resolve equipment failures. Your work will contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults using test equipment and hand tools.
- Perform electrical installations and planned preventative maintenance.
- Interpret technical documentation, including work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using computer‑based systems.
Skills & Experience Required
- Time‑served Electrician with City & Guilds 2360, HNC, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record in fault finding and reading technical/electrical drawings.
- Experience in using test equipment and performing hands‑on electrical repairs.
- Competent with electrical installations and scheduled maintenance work.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Computer‑literate and able to manage basic digital records and systems.
