Are you a Class 1 driver looking for good quality, stable work? This vacancy provides just that, and it's available to experienced Drivers - Minimum of 6 months HGV1 experience required. You are within the perfect commute location for this job, which is based in Livingston. You’ll be working for a global supply firm that is offering temp to perm positions that come with excellent perks once permanent (including 24h GP consultations, a generous pension, store discounts, and more).

Pay and Rotas:

  • Pay: £17.55 per hour, Overtime £26.33 per hour after 42.5 hours per week (Pay is fortnightly on set pay days)
  • Bonus: £50 per week, totalling £2,600 per annum
  • Start times: Between 4am-7am
  • Shift duration: Between 10-12 hour shifts
  • Rota: Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday / Weekends only / Part Time Days
  • Contract Type: Temp to perm

What's involved?

  • Driving a Class 1 vehicle, new automatic vehicles.
  • Store deliveries to national chain.
  • Completing 10-12 drops (avg. 2 cages per drop).
  • Cages are taken to door of store.
  • You are delivering chilled and ambient goods.
  • Pallets are taken to door of store using a pump truck.
  • Exceptional training, all fully paid.

Do you qualify?

  • Hold a valid Class 1 entitlement.
  • Hold a valid UK CPC and Digicard.
  • Have your own transport to get to site.
  • Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence. TT, DD, CD, IN10, MS50, UT50, DR codes not accepted.

Training:

  • Driving Assessment, highway code test and drug and alcohol test.
  • 2 weeks of training - Week 1 is classroom based covering fridge operations etc. Week 2 is on the road training.
