Supply Desk are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a thriving early year setting and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with strong operational and childcare experience who is committed to creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff. The successful candidate will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, support and develop the team and drive continuous improvement across the setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursery
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Inspire, support, and develop nursery staff through effective leadership
  • Maintain high standards of care, learning and child development
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
  • Manage occupancy, staffing ratios, budgets and nursery administration
  • Monitor and improve quality standards throughout the setting
  • Lead recruitment, inductions, supervisions and staff training
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging nursery culture
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or relevant degree)
  • Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager position (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Sound understanding of nursery operations and compliance
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
