Streamline Recruitment has partnered with a fantastic client to support their recruitment drives and are now looking to appoint a Transport & Contracts Logistics Planner (Night Shift) to join their operations team. This position plays a key role in coordinating transport across a mix of commercial and utility-based work, ensuring service delivery is maintained to a high standard, particularly within time-sensitive and reactive environments.

Working within a fast-paced operation, you will be responsible for planning vehicle and driver activity, managing real-time changes, and liaising with both internal teams and external providers to keep services running efficiently. The role will involve:

  • Coordinating daily transport plans across multiple contracts
  • Allocating drivers and vehicles in line with availability and driver hours regulations
  • Managing live changes to schedules, particularly during incidents or disruptions
  • Working with third-party logistics providers and monitoring service delivery
  • Maintaining clear communication with drivers, clients and internal teams
  • Supporting out-of-hours and emergency response activity when required
  • Ensuring all activity is compliant with transport and health & safety regulations

This role would suit someone who is organised, confident making decisions under pressure, and comfortable working in a reactive environment. Previous experience within transport planning or logistics is important, along with strong communication and IT skills.

Package & Working Hours:

  • £36,400 during initial training period, increasing to £40,000 once completed
  • 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern (20:00)
  • Initial 8-week training period working Monday to Friday, 08:00
  • Office-based training, followed by flexibility to work from either of two sites.
