AM Global are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis at their manufacturing facility in Stockton.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a multiskilled maintenance engineer
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools
- Ability to perform a wide range of handyman tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driving license
The role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for performing all mechanical and electrical work, including the execution of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks critical to the smooth operation and longevity of the systems in place. The individual must be capable of self-delivering these services while adhering to H&S standards. Routine mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks encompass, but are not limited to, maintenance of printers, guillotines, packing machines, compressors, boiler systems, and general day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
Handyperson duties: a broader range of tasks that may not be highly technical but still require skill and knowledge. Additional qualifications include strong organisational and time-management skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks, and effective communication skills to explain complex technical issues to non-technical people.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with flexibility required.
