At Dorking Manor, Senior Care Assistants are called Homemaker Leads. They are carers and companions who know residents personally and deliver care tailored to each individual’s preferences.

Working Pattern: 12‑hour shifts with alternative weekend rota.

Role – Homemaker Lead: A varied role where no two days are the same. Care for individual people in the way a family member might care for someone in their home. We do not do timetabled task‑based care – we tailor care to each resident’s needs. A chance to make a real difference to our residents’ lives. Fewer people to care for, but more time spent with each resident, leading to a satisfying and fulfilling role. Supportive team environment. Kindness and support to each other is key to providing kindness and companionship to residents.

Qualifications: Strong background in a caring role in a similar environment. Training experience or qualification. NVQ Level 3 or similar (desirable).
