Qualified Social Worker - Post Approval (Fostering) in Dorchester, Dorset. Up to £38 per hour. Hybrid Working.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting and supervising approved foster carers, ensuring children are placed in safe, stable and nurturing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers in line with regulations and standards
  • Managing duty responsibilities and working closely with the Placements Team
  • Undertaking direct work with children, young people and families
  • Supporting a range of specialist schemes including:
    • Mockingbird
    • Constellation
    • Supported Lodgings
    • Family Link and Resilience carers
  • Completing visits, interventions and reviews to ensure positive outcomes

Requirements as a Social Worker include:

  • SWE Registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Drive and have access to a car
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
