Role Responsibilities
- Undertake design work in accordance with the parameters set out by the Lead Engineer.
- Conduct analysis via hand or Finite Element Analysis (FEA), 2D drawing, 3D CAD, Solidworks, DDM, PDM, and produce reports/documentation.
- Conduct regular project and programme reviews, reporting to and updating key stakeholders and customers.
- Participate in or supervise the manufacture of prototypes and trials, including physical testing of prototypes/samples.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of hours worked on each project.
- Participate in the initial design, estimating and review of assigned projects.
- Undertake design work in accordance with the parameters set out in the initial design review.
- Contribute to the production of KPIs and the identification of root cause analysis.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum HNC/HND education, preferably degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least two years of work experience in an engineering environment.
- Experience with FEA and CAD is desirable.
- Computer literacy is a must.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and abroad.
Salary and Hours
- Up to £50,000 salary depending on experience.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Company bonus matched pension.
