Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake design work in accordance with the parameters set out by the Lead Engineer.
  • Conduct analysis via hand or Finite Element Analysis (FEA), 2D drawing, 3D CAD, Solidworks, DDM, PDM, and produce reports/documentation.
  • Conduct regular project and programme reviews, reporting to and updating key stakeholders and customers.
  • Participate in or supervise the manufacture of prototypes and trials, including physical testing of prototypes/samples.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of hours worked on each project.
  • Participate in the initial design, estimating and review of assigned projects.
  • Undertake design work in accordance with the parameters set out in the initial design review.
  • Contribute to the production of KPIs and the identification of root cause analysis.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum HNC/HND education, preferably degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least two years of work experience in an engineering environment.
  • Experience with FEA and CAD is desirable.
  • Computer literacy is a must.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and abroad.

Salary and Hours

  • Up to £50,000 salary depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Company bonus matched pension.
