The Role
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and driving revenue growth across our waste management services. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility between working from home and our Nottingham office.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients
- Conduct client meetings (virtual and face-to-face) to understand needs and present tailored solutions
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity using CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and sustainability developments
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales, business development, or account management role (B2B experience preferred)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to generating new business
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and work towards targets
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
