Job Type: The position is Full Time, and you will be required to work one day of the weekend. Hours of work are approx 7.30am to 4pm, five days per week.

The role: An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Kitchens, Salad Bar, for an enthusiastic and talented Cook/Baker to join our successful Catering Department. This role is based within our long-established, family-run Garden Centre, which prides itself on quality food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming, supportive working environment.
Candidate requirements: We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual who takes pride in their cooking, with a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. You will be confident working as part of a busy team while also being able to use your own initiative when required. A professional approach to food preparation, presentation, and hygiene is essential. The successful candidate will have relevant previous experience in a kitchen. You will be involved in the preparation and production of a variety of freshly made dishes and baked goods, supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen and salad bar. You will work closely with the Catering Manager to maintain high standards, contribute ideas, and help ensure smooth service during busy periods. Further training and development will be provided for the right candidate.
Extra Information: We are able to offer a start date as soon as possible, depending on availability, subject to satisfactory references. Our recruitment process will consist of an informal initial meeting to discuss the role and get to know you. Suitable applicants will then be invited to take part in a practical work trial.
