Overview

ISQ Recruitment is working with a well‑established and award‑winning automotive employer to recruit an experienced Diagnostic LCV Technician for a busy workshop in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Van Technician who enjoys solving more complex technical issues, carrying out high‑quality diagnostics, and working in a professional workshop environment where training, development and long‑term progression are genuinely supported. The successful candidate will be confident carrying out service, maintenance, repairs and diagnostic work on light commercial vehicles. Candidates from a passenger car background will also be considered, provided they hold the relevant qualifications and have strong diagnostic ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out major and minor repairs on light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair more complex technical and mechanical faults
  • Complete regular inspections and preventative maintenance work
  • Support repair teams with fault finding, diagnostics and repair planning
  • Maintain accurate repair records using workshop systems
  • Complete documentation, job cards and warranty‑related paperwork
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting where required
  • Work safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or LCV maintenance and repair, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI
  • Experience carrying out diagnostic and service repairs
  • LCV, van or passenger car technician background considered
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to continue learning

Working Hours

40 hours per week, various shift patterns available, overtime opportunities available, Saturdays paid at overtime rate
