Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client who are Industrial Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a leading engineering services company working at a busy manufacturing facility in Burton Latimer. This is a varied and hands-on role carrying out both reactive maintenance and planned electrical work across site. The successful candidate will join a professional maintenance team supporting critical operations within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or production environment
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent Electrical qualification
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Experience working with 415VAC-24VDC systems and knowledge of 3 phase and single phase motors
  • Experience installing and maintaining lighting circuits and LED lighting systems
  • Experience with containment systems including ladder rack, conduit and basket and experience with cable glanding including SWA and SY cables
  • ATEX glanding experience would be advantageous
  • Experience with panel wiring, control panels and safety circuits
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Good understanding of BS60204 and IP2X standards
  • Strong awareness of health & safety within industrial environments
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out reactive electrical maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Completing planned electrical maintenance and improvement works
  • Installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems across site
  • Working on motors, control panels, lighting systems and containment installations
  • Completing electrical work orders to a high standard
  • Updating and closing work orders using the company ERP system
  • Working closely with the wider maintenance and engineering teams
  • Following all health & safety procedures and company standards
  • Maintaining strong communication with management and site teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement and minimising production downtime
