A respected maintenance and term-contract specialist operating across Northern Ireland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a long-standing MTC framework at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. The organisation delivers essential building, fabric and minor works services within complex, live healthcare environments and is known for its reliability, strong client relationships and commitment to high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • You will take responsibility for the commercial management of a busy maintenance and minor works contract, ensuring accurate measurement, pricing and valuation of works carried out on the hospital estate.
  • Your role will involve managing work orders, preparing cost reports, overseeing subcontractor accounts, ensuring compliance with contract terms and supporting the operational team in delivering works efficiently.
  • You will contribute to forecasting, financial control and the smooth running of the contract, working closely with both internal teams and client representatives.

Requirements

  • You should have experience in a Quantity Surveying role within maintenance, term contracts or building works, ideally with exposure to public-sector or healthcare environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of reactive and planned works are essential.
  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is expected, along with confidence in communicating with clients, site teams and subcontractors.
