We have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team to ensure exceptional care and a nurturing environment for our young people in our children's home.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Home Manager in all aspects of running the home, including compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance, ensuring that the home aligns with our values and standards and financial planning.
- Lead and inspire a team, providing supervision, appraisal, professional development and training.
- Manage the home effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Ensure a safe, homely environment and maintain high standards of care.
- Manage health and safety protocols, risk assessments and ensure compliance of training for the team.
- Liaise with professionals and contribute to care planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Full UK Manual Driving licence.
- Level 3 in Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce Qualification.
- At least 1 year’s experience as a Senior Residential Care worker in a Children’s Home setting.
- Ability to be a great role model to our looked after children.
- Be a strong leader with good team management skills, and ability to build trusting relationships with staff and the looked after children.
- A genuine care and compassion to work with looked after children.
- Flexibility to be able to work shifts that include evenings and weekends and sleep ins and bank holidays.
