Class 1 Driver Days
Location: Normanton, WF6 1RW
Shifts: Monday - Friday, starting times between 6am and 10am
Pay Rate: £15.96 per hour
We're looking for full-time, Class 1 Day Drivers to join us at our site in Normanton. This role is temporarily to permanently for the ideal candidate and will involve the loading and unloading of roll cages filled with customer car parts. Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services offering drayage, global freight forwarding and full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability.
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Car part deliveries between customer sites, making collections and cage pulling when required.
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
- Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork.
- Perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.
What you need to succeed with our client:
- HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- ADR is preferred but not essential.
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- Class 1 and multidrop delivery experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
- A can-do attitude.
