Pertemps Daventry is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company located in a village setting just outside Daventry. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with repair and electrical experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment. Full product training will be provided on site.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- 30-minute lunch break
- One Saturday per month required, paid at time and a half
Key Responsibilities:
- Repairing and servicing domestic appliances and machines
- Working closely with the field-based service team to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard
- Completing all relevant service and repair documentation accurately
- Managing and maintaining stock parts used and required for repairs
- Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 1 year of workshop repair experience preferred
- Experience with electrical testing and repairs
- Knowledge of electrical or electronic consumer products/domestic appliances
- Full UK driving licence and own transport essential due to village location
- Good manual dexterity with strong attention to detail
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
