Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation
    • Assist chefs with basic food prep such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.
    • Prepare simple dishes under supervision (e.g., salads, sides, sandwich prep).
    • Ensure all prep areas are kept stocked and organised.
  • Cleaning & Hygiene
    • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including surfaces, equipment, and floors.
    • Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using manual or industrial dish-washing methods.
    • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP procedures).
    • Dispose of waste and recycling correctly.
  • Kitchen Support
    • Unpack, store, and rotate deliveries following FIFO stock rotation.
    • Assist in keeping storage areas clean and well-organised.
    • Support chefs during busy periods as required.
    • Carry out any additional tasks delegated by the chef or manager.
