Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle examinations, including electronic vehicle health checks
- Identify non-routine faults and defects in the workshop or during road tests
- Carry out repairs and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards
- Provide excellent, courteous and responsive service to colleagues and customers
- Communicate vehicle progress and technical issues effectively to the service team and customers
- Support and mentor apprentices within the workshop
- Assist in developing and implementing improved work methods to enhance efficiency
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealer environment
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- MOT licence desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to work within structured processes and promote best practices
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- First-time fix mentality and commitment to ongoing learning
- Team player, capable of supporting colleagues and apprentices
