We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join a busy and well established operation based in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for ongoing night work on a consistent 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Location: Crewe‑CW1
Shifts: 4 On 4 Off / 1800‑0600
Pay: £17.14 per hour
Duties for the HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver:
- Shunting trailers safely around the yard
- Moving vehicles between bays and loading areas
- Conducting vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining site safety procedures at all times
- Working closely with transport and warehouse teams
Requirements of the HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C E) Licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driving and working time regulations
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
