Maintenance Engineer - Crediton, Devon

£51,000 - £54,000 + Bonus scheme

Monday-Thursday Nights - Training period on days

Role & Responsibilities

  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
  • Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
  • Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments
