This is a key commercial role on a high-profile school project delivered within a live environment, offering the opportunity to take ownership of significant packages and contribute to successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account.
The Role
- Leading the day-to-day commercial activities across multiple work packages
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Managing valuations, variations, and change control
- Supporting risk management and value engineering initiatives
- Working closely with operational teams and client representatives
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and framework requirements
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on medium to large-scale construction projects
- Strong background in education sector projects (schools)
- Experience working within the public sector and framework environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving both new build and complex refurbishment
- Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Membership of or working towards RICS (desirable)
