A leading regional civil engineering contractor is recruiting a General Foreman to join their busy Southeast Division. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects. You will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish.
Duties include:
- Ordering plant, labour and materials
- Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
- Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices
- Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
- Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
- Ensure your workforce is working safely, effectively and efficiently
- Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
- Ensure risk assessments and method statements are being adhered to
