The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This is a varied, hands‑on role with a 50/50 split between production engineering and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, improving production efficiency, and ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and improve day‑to‑day manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
- Support process optimisation, tooling improvements, and production line performance
- Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve operational targets
Maintenance Engineering
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Respond to machine breakdowns and conduct fault‑finding activities
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Reduce downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventative measures
- Assist with machinery installation, upgrades, and commissioning
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong maintenance engineering and fault‑finding experience
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Experience supporting production and process improvement activities
- Good understanding of health & safety within manufacturing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Engineering qualification preferred (NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent)
