Night Shift Machine Press Operator - Cookstown

Pay: Up to €15.00 per hour depending on experience

Temporary, temp‑to‑perm or permanent opportunities available

Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 15:45 - 02:15, Thursday: 15:45 - 01:15

4‑day working week on nights

I'm currently recruiting for a Night Shift Machine Press Operator to join a busy manufacturing business based in Cookstown. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, has experience operating machinery, and wants a long‑term role with training and development available. You'll be working as part of a production team, helping to set up and operate machinery, check finished parts, follow drawings/specifications and make sure work is completed safely and to a good standard.

Role responsibilities:

  • Setting up and operating production machinery
  • Working with press machinery and steel‑cutting processes
  • Checking parts against drawings and specifications
  • Measuring and inspecting finished products
  • Working to production and quality targets
  • Carrying out basic machine safety checks
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Working as part of a team

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous machine operating experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, engineering or metalwork
  • Good attention to detail
  • A reliable and hard‑working attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required

Experience with press machines, plasma cutting, laser cutting, CNC machines or similar production machinery would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
