Our client is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Vehicle Technician on a permanent basis. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy transport workshop maintaining a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, plant, and specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial vehicles and plant equipment
  • Support MOT preparation and testing (Class 4 & 7 where qualified)
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and EV faults
  • Complete workshop documentation and update maintenance systems
  • Support roadside repairs and recovery when required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance standards

Requirements

  • NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Experience within a commercial vehicle or fleet workshop environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good understanding of workshop Health & Safety practices
  • Flexible approach to shifts and standby cover

Desirable

  • MOT Tester qualification
  • HGV Licence
  • EV vehicle experience
  • Welding or fabrication skills
  • Forklift licence
