An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Lead to support high-profile procurement activity within policing. You will deliver end-to-end sourcing and contract management across complex, sensitive categories that support front line operations, including firearms, tactical equipment, and specialist services such as dog units, mounted branch, and public order.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulations
  • Develop and deliver category strategies and sourcing plans
  • Manage supplier negotiations to achieve value for money
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and frontline teams
  • Draft tender documentation and support business case development
  • Oversee contract performance, risk, and compliance
  • Manage key supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement

A successful Commercial Lead should have:
