Description
- Preparing monthly management accounts.
- Reporting monthly accounts to the board.
- Work closely with the commercial team to allocate project costing, update and report monthly.
- Work closely with other departments using centralised financial data.
- Create scenarios, forecasts and models to help management make informed business decisions.
- Update weekly and monthly cash flows.
- Acting as a key finance member while also working closely with the MD & other departments.
- A commercially astute outlook whilst being able to maintain the finance function.
- Excellent time management and an ability to be able to hit strict deadlines each month for reporting purposes.
- Excellent people skills and be able to create good relationships with the whole business as well as the finance team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be a crucial cog between finance and all other departments to help present and report accurate information so the business can make informed decisions.
- Ensure weekly and monthly reporting deadlines are hit.
- Provide guidance to management and give constructive feedback from a financial perspective.
Profile
- A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent education in accounting and finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
