The predicted salary is between 50000 - 55000 £ per year.

Location: Slough - THIS IS A FIELD BASED ROLE AND WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL AROUND UK AIRPORTS.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to 55k

Working hours: Predominately Monday to Friday, some night works will be required to accommodate the airport operation and project schedule. (08:00-17:00) or (20:00-05:00)

Candidates must:

  • Have RTW in the UK (no sponsorship required)
  • Be able to obtain an airside pass
  • Have worked in the UK/have continuous references for the past 5 years
  • Be able to obtain a DBS & clear criminal record
  • Have a Full UK driving licence

Job Description

Execute and coordinate installation, maintenance, commissioning, and on‑site technical support activities for Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) at airports. Ensure all work complies with company technical standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, and airport rules. Communicate material needs on site, report transport‑related damages, and manage incidents during installation to ensure full assembly of PBBs through to final client handover, meeting all project requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Higher Vocational Training in a technical specialty
  • Technical knowledge of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs)
  • In‑depth understanding of product configuration and operation

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

  • IPAF MEWP operator licence
  • SSSTS certificate (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
  • Valid CSCS card

Previous Experience

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position within a capital goods manufacturing company with a comparable production process.

Main Tasks and Activities

  • On‑site Installation of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs)
  • Perform and coordinate mechanical, electrical and electronic assembly on site
  • Participate in functionality testing, calibration and commissioning
  • Assess site resources and identify shortages (tools, materials, etc.)
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation or post‑sales activities
  • Supervise internal teams, contractors and airport authorities to ensure progress
  • Document completed activities and record any incidents
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and airport regulations
  • Propose technical and process improvements based on field experience

Reporting

  • Submit daily reports of tasks performed, issues and incidents to the Project Manager
  • Report installation‑related non‑conformities (e.g. TQ2 assembly issues)
