Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Producing calculations of member benefits which vary from scheme to scheme; as you gain more experience and skills, the calculations will become more complex.
  • Preparing letters to members, clients and advisors.
  • Updating databases and data files and using verification processes to check that data has been entered accurately.
  • Keeping records up to date and in order.
  • Communicating with pension scheme members and clients, dealing with general telephone enquiries on a daily basis.

Key skills and experience:

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with numerical information.
  • Educated to A Level or Degree (or equivalent), including Maths GCSE.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, along with an inquisitive mindset to learn new technology.
  • Confident communication skills and a strong team player.
  • A flexible and pro-active mindset are a must for this role as you will continue to learn and develop throughout your career.
  • The ability to manage and organise your day to day priorities.
  • You will be willing to study for professional exams.
