Are you an Employability Tutor looking for a new role? Are you dynamic and passionate? Do you have a great rapport-building ability? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Nova Training as an Employability Tutor.

As an Employability Tutor you will be required to work with students to develop their employability skills and help them gain the necessary qualifications to succeed in the job market. You will be expected to provide support and guidance to students, while ensuring they meet the required standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
  • Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
  • Ensure that Functional Skills are embedded in all lessons.
  • Regularly assess the learners work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
  • Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification.

What you require:

  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
  • A relevant teaching qualification minimum PTLLS.
  • An assessing qualification, Full TAQA or V1.
  • Teaching experience within 14-19 provision.
  • Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework.
  • Full, clean UK Driving License.
